I have been a fan of Lime Crime since the days of Airborne Unicorn, Countessa Fluorescent, and the other classics. From the Soft Touch line, I have enjoyed Vintage Spice quite a bit— the lovely vintage color; the silky, non-drying matte finish; the more eco-friendly paper tube —so I decided to treat myself to a few more colors during a recent sale. I swatched them in noontime September sun and this photo is the result.
The main takeaway:
This fall from this line, I will be leaning heavily on my fave Vintage Spice and my new stunner Violet Vibes. Disco Down and Drive-In are a little too similar so I probably only should’ve gone with Drive-In. Radical Red will be fun for the holidays. I’m looking forward to the lighter colors for spring. And Retro Sunrise will be the winner for National Work Zone Awareness Week (lol, but truthfully!)
My take on the colors:
Violet Vibes is gorgeous (and how I always wanted Clinique’s Black Honey to look!). Radical Red is reminiscent of Retrofuturist, and Retro Sunrise reminds me of My Beautiful Rocket. Disco Down and Drive In are VERY similar, with the former looking like a diluted version of the latter. Stellar Pink has more of a peachy cast than Flamingo Pink. Funky Fusion is how I remember MAC’s Show Orchid when it was my color in the early-mid 2010s.
If you’re not sure about this line, dip a toe—you’ll love how pigmented the colors are, and how non-drying the matte finish is!

I was on the hunt for a wearable orange, which is totally something I can pull off with my skin tone. No one else made it, the KVD one was neon. Retro sunrise is it! Got Lucky me just for funsies. Both went on like buttah & no liner required.

I really like this lipstick. It’s easy to apply, it goes on it smoothly. The only thing I have is the color might be a little too vibrant for my complexion. It smells minty but almost like a vanilla minty. It’s a really gorgeous formula

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I love this matte lipstick. I like that it feels soft and the color lasts a long time! It’s not dehydrating and also looks great under gloss. It pairs with the cutie colored dye perfectly!
